The New York Mets lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-6 last night and dropped their record to 31-38. RHP Zack Wheeler got the start and had a another difficult outing after struggling his last start against the Cubs. Wheeler allowed seven runs on eight hits in two innings. He gave up no walks and had two strikeouts. RHP Rafael Montero came in next and allowed one run in 3 2/3 innings. Montero gave up two walks and had five strikeouts. LHP Josh Edgin followed and got the last out in the bottom of the sixth. RHP Fernando Salas gave up two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. RHP Neil Ramirez pitched a scoreless bottom of the eighth inning.
The Mets offense had a big night against Dodgers LHP Clayton Kershaw and were able to score six runs and hit four homers off of him which is a career-high for Kershaw. SS Jose Reyes led the offense with two homers and three RBI's. SS Gavin Cecchini hit a two-run homer. RF Jay Bruce added a solo home
