Mets Draft David Peterson with 20th Overall Pick

Last night, the New York Mets drafted LHP David Peterson with the 20th overall pick in the first round of the Major League Baseball draft. Peterson projects to be a middle of the rotation starter and is on the fast track to the big leagues. He had a record of 11-4 this year and a 2.51 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP with 140 strikeouts in 100 innings. Peterson is known to have great control. He was previously drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 28th round of the 2014 draft.
