Mets vs. Phillies Game 128 Recap

The New York Mets defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 9-4 tonight to win their second consecutive game and improve their record to 65-63. The Mets offense got off to a hot start when 3B Jose Reyes led off with a solo homer. SS Asrubal Cabrera followed with another solo homer. He also hit a 2 run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning. 1B Wilmer Flores continued his dominance against LHP with a grand slam. Catcher Travis d'Arnaud added an RBI double.

RHP Bartolo Colon allowed four runs in seven innings. He gave up two walks and had four strikeouts. He picked up his twelfth win of the season. RHP Hansel Robles pitched a scoreless top of the eighth inning. RHP Jeurys Familia pitched a scoreless top of the ninth inning.
