The New York Mets lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-3 tonight to drop their record to 57-55. They are now 9 games behind the Washington Nationals for first place in the National League East and 2 games behind the Miami Marlins for the 2nd spot in the wild-card race. RHP Hansel Robles gave up three in the top of the eighth inning and took the loss. LHP Steven Matz allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 6 innings. He had one walk and 9 strikeouts. He picked up a no-decision.
1B James Loney hit a RBI groundout. 2B Neil Walker hit a 2 run homer.
