RHP John Curtiss has been recalled from Triple-A Syracuse, RHP Adam Ottavino has been placed on paternity leave and LHP David Peterson has been sent down to Triple-A Syracuse as corresponding roster moves.
Today's Mets-Braves game has been postponed due to rain.

LHP David Peterson started out well with four scoreless innings. but ran into trouble in the top of the fifth.
Peterson gave up a one-out single to DH Eddie Rosario and double to LF Kevin Pillar.
Peterson was unable to get out of the inning after he gave up a two-out RBI single to RF Ronald Acuna Jr and then it all imploded for him in the inning after he gave up a three-run homer to 1B Matt Olson and was taken out after the inning due to the rain.
His final line was 5 innings, 5 hits, 4 runs, 1 walk and 6 strikeouts.
The offense did not do much against LHP Max Fried and managed only three hits.
They went 0-2 with runners in scoring position and left four runners on base.
The Mets next game is tomorrow afternoon, Saturday, April 29 at home against the Braves at 4:05. p.m.

After a scoreless bottom of the first, 2B Jeff McNeil and DH Daniel Vogelbach singled with one out in the bottom of the second. LF Mark Canha followed with a sacrifice fly to score McNeil.
In the bottom of the fourth, 3B Brett Baty delivered with a solo homer.
Catcher Francisco Alvarez followed with a single and then CF Brandon Nimmo also walked and RF Starling Marte walked the bases.
SS Francisco Lindor then came through with a two-run double.
After a scoreless bottom of the fifth, Nimmo singled to lead off the bottom of the sixth and two batters later, Lindor hit a RBI double.
1B Pete Alonso then hit a RBI single and later in the inning Vogelbach hit a RBI single.
In the bottom of the eighth, Marte singled to lead off the inning and two batters later Alonso hit a RBI double to tie the game.
McNeil followed with a game-winning RBI triple.
LHP Joey Lucchesi started out well until the top of the sixth.
Lucchesi gave up a lead-off single to DH Joey Meneses and two batters later a single to RF Lane Thomas and was then taken out.
His final line was 5.1 innings, five hits, three runs, two walks and three strikeouts.
RHP Tommy Hunter came in next and gave up RBI singles to pinch-hitter Luis Garcia and CF Victor Robles.
Hunter came back for the top of the eighth and got into trouble after he gave up back-to-back hit by pitches and then Lindor made an error which loaded the bases.
Hunter was then taken out and LHP Brooks Raley came in next.
Raley then gave up a sacrifice fly to Garcia and a grand slam to SS CJ Abrams.
RHP David Robertson closed it out with a dominant 1-2-3 top of the ninth and picked up his fifth save.

RHP Kodai Senga started out well with a scoreless top of the first, but struggled in the top of the second after he gave up a lead-off walk to catcher Keibert Ruiz and then a double to the following hitter 1B Dom Smith.
Senga then allowed RBI singles to RF Lane Thomas and SS C.J. Abrams.
Senga was able to settle down after that and did not allow any more runs.
He was taken out after the top of the fifth.
His final line was 5 innings, 5 hits, 2 runs, 4 walks and 7 strikeouts.
RHP Jeff Brigham came in next and had a scoreless top of the sixth.
Brigham came back out for the top of the seventh and gave up a solo homer to 3B Jeimer Candelario was taken out later in the inning.
LHP Brooks Raley had to come in and retired Smith to end the inning.
RHP Adam Ottavino followed in the top of the eighth and after retiring the first two hitters, walked CF Victor Robles who then advanced to second on a poor pick-off throw and then stole third.
Ottavino later gave up a RBI single to LF Alex Call.
RHP David Robertson appeared next and threw a scoreless top of the ninth.
The offense did not do much outside of the bottom of the third after 3B Eduardo Escobar led off with a triple and three batters later, RF Starling Marte drove in Escobar with a RBI single.
The bats struggles with men on base continued after they went 1-8 with runners in scoring position and left eight men on base.

LHP David Peterson got off to a tough start in the bottom of the first after he gave up a lead-off infield hit to 2B Thairo Estrada and two batters later a single to RF Michael Conforto.
Peterson then walked 1B Wilmer Flores and gave up a sacrifice fly to 3B David Villar.
Peterson's struggles continued when he gave up a three-run homer to the following hitter SS Brandon Crawford.
Peterson had more trouble in the bottom of the second after he gave up a lead-off double to CF Heliot Ramos and two batters a single to Estrada.
Peterson then gave up a RBI single to DH Darin Ruf and a RBI ground-out to Conforto.
Peterson was able to settle down after that with scoreless innings in the bottom of the third and fourth.
He gave up a solo homer to Flores in the bottom of the fifth and was taken out after the inning.
His final line was five innings, seven hits, seven runs, one walk and eight strikeouts.
RHP Edwin Uceta followed with three scoreless innings in the bottom of the sixth, seventh and eighth.
After a scoreless top of the first, LF Mark Canha walked with one out in the top of the second and then DH Daniel Vogelbach followed with a RBI double.
In the top of the third, CF Brandon Nimmo continued his torrid start to the season with a solo homer.
The bats did not do much for the next four innings until the top of the eighth after 3B Brett Baty led off with a single and then catcher Tomas Nido followed with a bunt single.
Two batter later RF Starling Marte came through with a RBI single, but then SS Francisco Lindor flew out and 1B Pete Alonso grounded out to end the scoring threat.
In the top of the ninth, Canha reached on an infield hit and reached second on defensive indifference.
Baty drove in Canha with a two-out RBI single but 2B Luis Guillorme grounded out to second for the last out.

After a scoreless top of the first, Daniel Vogelbach led off the top of the second with a single and two batters later, 3B Brett Baty singled.
Later in the inning, 2B Luis Guillorme drove in the first run of the game with a RBI single.
The bats did not do much in the next two innings, but in the top of the fifth, Guillorme led off with a single and then CF Brandon Nimmo hit a ground-out back to RHP Anthony Descalafani.
SS Francisco Lindor struck out, but then RF Jeff McNeil reached on an infield single and Guillorme came around to score on a throwing error by catcher Joey Bart.
1B Pete Alonso came up next and continued his torrid start to the season with a two-run homer, his 10th homer of the season.
The offense was held scoreless for the next three innings, but in the top of the ninth Nimmo and Lindor singled with two outs and then McNeil was hit by a pitch which loaded the bases.
Alonso followed and broke the game open with a two-run single.
DH Daniel Vogelbach followed with a RBI single.
LHP Joey Lucchesi made his first start as a Met since June 18, 2021 after he missed almost two full seasons after Tommy John Surgery and had a stellar outimg.
Lucchesi threw seven scoreless innings allowing four hits and two walks with nine strikeouts.
He was able to keep hitters off balanced all night with his fastball, curveball and change-up and did a nice job of changing speeds.
Lucchesi is the first Met pitcher to work into the seventh inning this season.
LHP Brooks Raley followed with a scoreless bottom of the eighth.
RHP Tommy Hunter closed it out with a scoreless bottom of the ninth.

McNeil came up next and continued his stellar night at the plate with a RBI single.
RHP Kodai Senga cruised through the first four innings, but had a difficult bottom of the fifth after he gave up solo homers to catcher Blake Sabol and LF Tyler Wade Jr.
Senga's struggles continued in the inning after he gave up a RBI single to RF Mike Yastrzemski and later a wild pitch which caused another run to score.
Senga was able to finish the inning and and was then taken out.
His final line was five innings, four runs, four walks and four strikeouts.
Senga picked up his third win.
LHP Brooks Raley followed with a scoreless bottom of the sixth.
RHP John Curtiss then threw a scoreless bottom of the seventh.
RHP Drew Smith threw a scoreless bottom of the eighth.

RHP Max Scherzer worked his way out of a based loaded jam in the bottom of the first and started out with three scoreless innings.
In a controversial move, Scherzer was thrown out of the game before the bottom of the fourth after a substance check by umpires Phil Cuzzi and Dan Bellino. Scherzer could be facing a 10-game suspension from the ejection pending appeal.
RHP Jimmy Yacabonis had to come in next and did a fine job allowing one run on two hits in 2.2 innings. He picked up his first win.
RHP Jeff Brigham came in next with the based loaded and two outs in the bottom of the sixth and retired 2B Miguel Vargas to end the inning.
RHP Drew Smith followed with a scoreless bottom of the seventh.
RHP David Robertson gave up a RBI double to J.D. Martinez in the bottom of the eighth, but came back to retire RF Jason Heyward and Vargas to end the inning.
In the bottom of the ninth, RHP Adam Ottavino gave a solo homer to LF David Peralta, but did not any more runs in the inning and picked up his third save.

Megill had a scoreless bottom of the second, but then gave up a solo homer to Martinez in the bottom of the third.
Megill settled down after that with scoreless innings in the bottom of the fourth and fifth and was then taken out.
His final line was five innings, seven hits, three runs, four walks and four strikeouts.
RHP Denyl Reyes followed with 1.1 scoreless innings.
RHP John Curtiss gave up two runs in the bottom of the eighth.
The offense did was completely dominated by LHP Clayton Kershaw. In the top of the first, CF Brandon Nimmo led off by reaching on a three base error, but then Kershaw came back to strike out next three hitters he faced.
Kershaw was locked in for the rest of the game throwing seven scoreless innings with no walks and nine strikeouts.
The offense did not do much the last two innings and managed only four hits.

After a scoreless top of the first, LF Tommy Pham drove in the first run of the game with a solo homer in the top of the second.
The bats did not do much for the next few innings until the top of the sixth after SS Francisco Lindor hit a solo homer.
In the top of the ninth, 1B Pete Alonso hit a mammoth game-tying solo homer that went 430 feet to center field for his league-leading eight homer of the season. His homer also tied him with Dave Kingman for fifth most all-time in Mets history.
In the top of the tenth, RF Starling Marte walked with two outs and then stole second.
Lindor then followed with a walk and then 3B Eduardo Escobar scored on a wild pitch by reliever RHP Zach Jackson after Escobar started the inning at second base as the automatic runner.
RHP Jose Butto made his first start of the season and started out well with four scoreless innings.
Butto ran into trouble in the bottom of the fifth after he gave up a lead-off single to SS Kevin Smith who then stole second.
Butto then gave up a RBI single to the following hitter CF Esteury Ruiz and then Butto came out after the inning.
His final line was five innings, one run, four walks and two strikeouts.
RHP Denyl Reyes followed with two dominating innings in the bottom of the sixth and seventh.
RHP John Curtiss came on in the bottom of the eighth and got into trouble after he walked 3B Jace Peterson and then gave up a single to 2B Aledyms Diaz.
Curtiss then gave up a two-run double to catcher Shea Langeliers, but was able to recover after that and keep his team in the game only down 3-2.
RHP Jimmy Yacabonis made his Met debut in the bottom of the tenth and struggled out of the game with his command walking the lead-off hitter and then gave up a single.
Yacabonis was able to settle down after that striking out RF Ramon Laureano and was helped out by his defense after CF Brandon Nimmo made a stellar diving catch to keep the game tied and then Yacabonis was able to get the last out in the inning and picked up his first win.
RHP David Robertson came on in the bottom of the tenth and after a lead-off hit by pitch, he retired the next three hitters he faced and picked up his fourth save.
The Mets next game is tomorrow night, Monday, April 17 at the Los Angeles Dodgers at 10:10 p.m.

Baty has been tearing up Triple-A Syracuse with a .400 batting average, five home runs and 15 RBI in 35 at-bats.
He also excelled in Spring Training with a batting average of .325 and .885 OPS.
It's well deserved for Baty to get the call up and it will be exciting to see him in the starting lineup.

The bats got off a slow start in the first three innings wasting a couple of scoring opportunities in the top of first and third.
In the top of the fourth, 1B Pete Alonso came through with a solo homer for his seventh homer of the season.
The offense did not do much in the next two innings, but came alive in the top of the seventh.
LF Mark Canha started the inning off with a solo homer and then DH Daniel Vogelbach followed with a walk and then was then taken out for pinch runner Tim Locastro.
Locastro stole second and later in the inning with two outs, CF Brandon Nimmo delivered with a game-winning RBI double.
RHP Carlos Carrasco started out well with a scoreless bottom of the first, but ran into trouble in the bottom of the second after he gave up a RBI ground-out to LF Connor Capel and later in the inning a RBI single to SS Esteury Ruiz.
Carrasco settled down after that with a 1-2-3 bottom of third and worked his way out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the fourth.
He had another 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the fifth and hit Diaz to lead off the bottom of the sixth and was then taken out.
His final line was 5 innings, four hits, two runs, one walk and three strikeouts.
RHP Drew Smith came in next and threw a scoreless bottom of the sixth.
Smith came back for the bottom of the seventh and hit Ruiz with one out in the bottom of the seventh.
LHP Brooks Raley followed and got the last two outs in the bottom of the seventh.

After a scoreless top of the first, DH Daniel Vogelbach led off with a walk in the top of the second and two batters later 2B Luis Guillorme walked.
Catcher Tomas Nido followed with a walk to load the bases and then CF Brandon Nimmo drew a wal to bring in Vogelbach for the first run of the game.
RF Starling Marte followed with a walk of his own to score Guillorme and then SS Francisco Lindor came up next with the bases loaded and broke the game open with a grand slam.
The bats did not do much for the next two innings, but in the top of the fifth, 3B Eduardo Escobar walked with one out and then Guillorme and Nido followed with walks to load the bases.
Nimmo was then hit by a pitch which scored Escobar and then Marte drew another bases loaded walk which scored Guillorme.
Lindor came up next and capped off his stellar night at the plate with a three-run based clearing double for his fifth, sixth and seventh RBI of the game.
1B Pete Alonso followed with a walk and then LF Jeff McNeil was hit by a pitch to load the bases.
Vogelbach then grounded into a fielder's choice to bring in sixth run of the inning.
In the top of the sixth, Guillorme led off with a single and two batters later, Nimmo doubled.
Marte followed with a RBI double to score Nimmo.
After scoreless innings in the top of the seventh and eighth, Lindor, Alonso and McNeil all walked with one out to load the bases.
Vogelbach then drew a walk which scored Lindor and then Escobar hit a two-run double.
Guillorme followed with a RBI single.
The Mets scored their 17 runs on 11 hits and a franchise-record 17 walks.
RHP Kodai Senga had a rough start allowing four runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings. Senga gave up four walks with seven strikeouts and was not able to earn a win and was taken out with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the fifth.
RHP Stephen Nogosek came in next and struck out 2B Tony Kemp to end the the inning.
Nogosek stayed in for the bottom of the sixth and gave up a solo homer to DH Brent Rooker and later in the inning, Nogosek had to leave the game after he was hit hard in the back by a comebacker.
RHP Dennis Santana followed and allowed one run on two hits in 2.1 innings. Santana gave up no walks with two strikeouts and picked up his first win.
RHP John Curtiss closed it out with a scoreless bottom of the ninth.

After a scoreless bottom of the first, DH Tommy Pham led off with a single in the bottom of the second and later stole second. Three batters later, CF Brandon Nimmo drove in Pham with a RBI double.
In the bottom of third, SS Francisco Lindor led off with a solo homer.
In the bottom of the fifth with two outs, 1B Pete Alonso hit a solo homer.
In the bottom of the sixth, 2B Jeff McNeil and Pham walked to start the inning and later in the inning, Nimmo delivered with a RBI single his second RBI of the game.
In the bottom of the seventh, Alonso and McNeil walked and then Pham came through with a RBI single.
RHP Tylor Megill got off a tough start in the top of the first after he gave up a two-run homer to LF Juan Soto.
Megill settled in after that with scoreless innings in the top of the second, third, fourth and fifth and was taken out after the inning.
His final line was five innings, three hits, two runs, three walks and three strikeouts.
He picked up his third win.
LHP Brooks Radley came in next and got the first two outs in the top of the sixth.
RHP Drew Smith followed and struck out catcher Austin Nola to end the inning.
Smith stayed in for the top of the seventh and walked two batters and then retired 3B Manny Machado and was then taken out.
RHP David Robertson came on and retired Soto to end the inning.
Robertson stayed in for the top of the eighth and threw a scoreless inning.

LHP David Peterson started out well with four scoreless innings, but ran into trouble in the top of the fifth.
Peterson gave up singles to catcher Luis Campusano and RF Brandon Dixon and then got SS Xander Bogaerts to ground into a double play.
Peterson was not able to get out of the inning unscathed after he gave up a two-run double to the following hitter 3B Manny Machado.
Peterson stayed in for the top of the sixth and retired the first two hitters then gave up a two-out single to 2B Ha-Seong Kim and was then taken out.
His final line was 5.2 innings, six hits, two runs, two walks and six strikeouts.
RHP Denyl Reyes followed with 1.1 scoreless innings.
LHP Brooks Raley came in next and threw a scoreless top of the eighth.
RHP Dennis Santana followed in the top of the ninth and gave up a lead-off double to Campusano and three batters later, a two-run double to Bogaerts.
In the bottom of the first, CF Brandon Nimmo led off with a walk and then RF Starling Marte singled and SS Francisco Lindor walked to load the bases with no one out.

The bats did do much for the next few innings until the bottom of the ninth, after Alonso led off with a walk and two batters later, 2B Jeff McNeil walked.

The offense struggled all night with men on base and went 1-8 with runners in scoring position leaving seven runners on base.

The offense did not do much for the first two innings against RHP Yu Darvish, but in the bottom of third, CF Brandon Nimmo singled and stole second with two outs.
SS Francisco Lindor was then by a pitch and RF Jeff McNeil followed with a two-run double.
The bats were quiet for the next four innings until the bottom of the seventh after LF Mark Canha led off with a double and then 2B Luis Guillorme followed by reaching on a bunt single.

He did not have the best command of his fastball but he was able to make up for it with command of his slider and curveball.
His offspeed pitches helped him keep the hitters off balanced and maintain his shutout.
RHP John Curtiss followed with a scoreless top of the sixth.
RHP Drew Smith threw a scoreless top of the seventh.

RHP Carlos Carrasco got off to tough start in the top of the first after he gave up a lead-off single to CF Jazz Chisholm Jr and two batters later walked DH Garrett Cooper.
Later in the inning, Carrasco gave up a three-run homer to LF Bryan De La Cruz.
Carrasco was able to settle down for the next three innings, but in the top of the fifth, it all came apart for him once again after he gave up singles to SS Jon Berti and Chisholm Jr and then another three-run homer this time to Cooper and was taken out after that.
Carrasco's final line was 4.2 innings, six hits, three walks, and one strikeout.
RHP Stephen Nogosek followed and gave up one run in 3 1/3 innings.
RHP Dennis Santana threw a scoreless top of the ninth.

In the bottom of the sixth, McNeil led off with a double and then two batters later, 3B Eduardo Escobar came through with a two-run homer.
RHP Kodai Senga made his second career MLB start and came out firing with two strikeouts in the top of the first.
Senga kept it rolling in the top of the second striking out the side.
He cruised through the next two innings keeping the pitch count down and had another scoreless innings in the top of the fifth.
Senga gave up a lead-off homer to CF Jazz Chisholm Jr in the top of the sixth, but was able to recover and finish the inning and was taken out after the inning.
His final line was six innings, three hits, one run, three walks and six strikeouts to pick up his second ML win.
Senga's "ghost fork" forkball was particularly effective after the Marlins failed to put any of his 16 fork balls in play.
He also featured a blazing fastball in the upper 90's with a slider and cutter.
So far, Senga has looked as good as advertised in his first two starts and has shown a lot of composure and hopefully will be able to build off these performances.
RHP Drew Smith came in next and got into immediate trouble in the top of the seventh after he gave up a lead -off walk to LF Bryan De La Cruz and two batters later a single to SS Jon Berti and was then taken out.

Navarez had hit well prior to the injury batting .286 with two RBIs.
Top prospect Francisco Alvarez will be getting called up in Narvaez's absence.
Alvarez has hit well in his short time in Triple A hitting .250 with two homers and four RBIs.
It will be interesting to see how Alvarez does now that he will be getting extended playing time.
The New York Mets announced that tomorrow's home opener against the Miami Marlins has been postponed due to rain.
The game will be made up on Friday, April 7 at 1:10 p.m.

Two batters later, Scherzer gave up a two-run double to 3B Brian Anderson.
Scherzer was able to recover with scoreless innings in the bottom of the second, third, fourth and fifth.
However, it all fell apart for him in the bottom of the sixth after he gave up back-to-back homers to 1B Rowdy Tellez, Anderson and CF Garrett Mitchell and was then taken out.
His final line was 5.1 innings, eight hits, five runs, two walks and two strikeouts.
RHP Denyl Reyes followed and got the last two outs in the bottom of the sixth.

After a scoreless top of the sixth, Locastro was hit by a pitch with one out in the top of the seventh and then Pham capped off his stellar day at the plate with a RBI double for his third RBI of the game.
Mets RHP Kodai Senga made his much-anticipated ML debut after coming over from Japan and got off to a rocky start in the bottom of the first allowing a single, two walks and a wild pitch.
Senga gave a run, but was able to limit the damage with the based loaded and no out with back-to-back strikeouts and then retired 3B Jon Berti on a line-out to RF Starling Marte to end the inning.
Senga settled down nicely after that and wound up retiring 15 out of the last 17 hitters he faced.
He showed a lot of poise and composure in the bottom of the first inning and didn't get rattled with having to get of a bases loaded jam and allow only one run.
Senga featured a blazing fastball topping off at 99 mph along with a devastating splitter or "ghostfork"as well as a sharp slider.
His ghost fork kept the Marlins off balanced all game and he was to generate strikes on eight out of the 12 first ghost forks that he threw.
It will be fun to see how Senga continues to evolve and keep hitters guessing with all of the pitches he can throw.
His final line was 5.1 innings, three hits, one run, three walks and eight strikeouts to pick up his first Major League win.

After a scoreless top of the first, LF Mark Canha led off the top of the second with a double and then 2B Luis Guillorme followed with a walk.
3B Eduardo Escobar then grounded out and catcher Omar Narvaez drove in Canva with a sacrifice fly.
In the top of the fourth, Canha led off with a walk and three batters later, Narvarez drove in Canha with a RBI single for his second RBI of the game.
In the top of the fifth, RF Jeff McNeil led off with a double and then 1B Pete Alonso followed with a RBI double.
Two batters later, Canha delivered with a RBI single.
After a scoreless top of the sixth, Canha capped off his stellar day at the plate with a solo homer in the top of the seventh.
RHP Tylor Megill had a solid first outing of the season allowing two runs on six hits in five innings.
Megill gave up two walks and had seven strikeouts.
He worked out of some jams and showed composure with men on base.
He picked up his first win.
RHP Dennis Santana came in next and made his Met debut in the bottom of the sixth and threw a scoreless inning.
LHP Drew Smith and LHP Brooks Raley combined to throw a scoreless bottom of the seventh.
RHP Adam Ottavino threw a scoreless bottom of the eighth.
RHP David Robertson closed it out with a scoreless bottom of the ninth.
