Mets vs. Padres Game 29 Recap

Last night, the New York Mets defeated the San Diego Padres 6-3 to snap their 2 game losing streak and improve their record to 18-11. Mets starter RHP Bartolo Colon was the star of the game hitting his first career home run at age 42. He also pitched 6 2/3 solid innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits and 1 walk. He had 5 strikeouts. He picked up his 3rd win. LHP Jerry Blevins got the last out in the 7th. RHP Addison Reed pitched a scoreless 8th. RHP Jeurys Familia pitched a scoreless 9th and picked up his 9th save. The Mets continued their power surge and hit 4 homers. In addition to Colon's 2 run shot, they also got a 2 run homer from CF Yoenis Cespedes and back to back homers by 3B David Wright and LF Michael Conforto.
