Mets vs. Dodgers Game 31 Recap
The New York Mets defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers last night 4-2 to win their third consecutive game and improve their record to 20-11. RF Curtis Granderson led the game off with a homer, his 6th of the season. Catcher Kevin Plawecki also hit a homer, his first of the season. CF Yoenis Cespedes hit an RBI single. Mets starter LHP Steven Matz hit an RBI double. He also pitched 6 outstanding innings and gave up only 2 runs. He gave up one walk and had 5 strikeouts. He picked up his fifth win of the season. RHP Hansel Robles pitched a scoreless 7th inning. LHP Antonio Bastardo and RHP Jim Henderson combined to pitch a scoreless 8th. RHP Jeurys Familia pitched a scoreless 9th and picked up his 11th save.
