Mets vs. Brewers Game 41 Recap
The New York Mets defeated the Milwaukee Brewers tonight 3-2 to snap their 2 game losing streak and improve their record to 23-18. Catcher Rene Rivera hit an RBI groundout. LF Michael Conforto hit a go-ahead two run homer to the opposite field in the 7th. He has now 7 homers on the season with 23 RBI's. LHP Steven Matz was outstanding giving up only 2 runs on 3 hits in 7 innings. He gave up only hit after the first inning when he gave up a 2 run homer. He had 8 strikeouts and no walks. He is now 6-1 on the season. His overall career record is 10-1 after his first 13 starts. RHP Addison Reed pitched a scoreless 8th. RHP Jeurys Familia had a 1-2-3 ninth and picked up his 14th save.
