Mets vs. Phillies Game 13 Recap
The New York Mets defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 11-1 to improve their record to 7-6. The Mets offense exploded for a season-high six homers and continue to hit well at Citizens Bank Park. 2B Neil Walker hit 2 homers and now has 6 homers through only 13 games. CF Yoenis Cespedes hit a 3 run homer. LF Michael Conforto hit a 2 run homer. RF Curtis Granderson hit a 2 run homer in the 8th. 1B Lucas Duda hit a 2 run homer in the 7th. Mets starter RHP Logan Verrett pitched 6 shutout innings. He gave up only 6 hits and 1 walk. He had 4 strikeouts. He picked up his first win of the season. RHP Jim Henderson pitched a scoreless 7th. RHP Rafael Montero gave up a run in the 8th. RHP Hansel Robles pitched a scoreless 9th.
