Mets vs. Indians Game 9 Recap
The New York Mets defeated the Cleveland Indians tonight 6-5 to improve their record to 4-5. Their offense finally broke and showed some power. They hit a season high 4 homers. LF Michael Conforto hit a solo homer. Aledandro de Aza also hit a solo homer with 3 hits. Yoenis Cespedes also had 3 hits and added a 2 run homer. Neil Walker continued his hot start with a 2 run homer. The Mets got a solid start from RHP Bartolo Colon tonight. He gave up 2 runs in 5 1/3 innings. He gave up 8 hits and 1 walk. He had 5 strikeouts. He picked up his first win of the season. LHP Antonio Bastardo pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings. RHP Hansel Robles got the last out in the 7th. RHP Addison Reed gave up 2 runs in 1 2/3 innings. RHP Jeurys Familia got the last out in the 9th inning and picked up his 3rd save of the season.
