Mets Draft Catcher Kevin Parada With 11th Overall Pick

The New York Mets drafted catcher Kevin Parada out of Georgia Tech with the 11th pick in the first round of the MLB Draft.

Parada is an offensive-first catcher and has questions marks about his defense.

He hit .361 with 26 homers and 88 RBI in his sophomore season with only 32 strikeouts in 258 at-bats.

Parada won the Johnny Bench Award last year as college baseball's top catcher.
