The New York Mets acquired outfielder Tyler Naquin and relief pitcher LHP Phillip Diehl from the Cincinnati Reds tonight for minor leaguers RHP Jose Acuna and SS Hector Rodriguez.

Naquin's strength is his ability to hit well against right-handed pitching and is hitting .266 with an .811 OPS in 158 plate-appearances against RHP this year.

He can also provide versatility as a corner outfielder and designated hitter.

Diehl will provide another lefty option out of the bullpen most likely in Triple-A.

He has struggled in a brief stint in the Major Leagues with a 9.47 ERA in 21 appearances over three seasons.
