Mets Select Donnie Hart from Triple-A Syracuse and DFA Eric Hanhold

The New York Mets announced today that they have selected the contract of LHP Donnie Hart from Triple-A Syracuse and DFA RHP Eric Hanhold to make room on the 40-man roster. Hart was acquired  in August on a waiver claim by the Milwaukee Brewers. He appeared in five Major League games this year ( 7 2/3 innings) and allowed no runs and giving up four hits and four walks with three strikeouts.  Hanhold was acquired in 2017 as part of the trade for 2B Neil Walker, but appeared in only three Major League games in 2018.  He had a 3.84 ERA  in 48 games in Triple-A this year.
