Mets Hire Andy Green As Full-Time Manager

The New York Mets announced on Tuesday that they hiring Andy Green as full-time manager for the 2027 season and will be given a three-year contract.

Green took over for Carlos Mendoza as the interm manager earlier this year back in June and has a record of 37-38.

He helped develop the rookie outfielders Carson Benge and A.J. Ewing as well as the young pitchers. Green also earned the respect of veteran players Juan Soto, Francisco Lindor and Bo Bichette.

Green has handled the media well and kept the clubhouse together.

It will be exciting to see how he can do over the course of a full season as the roster takes shape in the offseason.
