The Met offense was held scoreless for the five innings against RHP Merrill Kelly until the top of the sixth after RF Juan Soto hit a solo homer.
In the top of the seventh, catcher Luis Torrens led off with a double and then 3B Brett Baty grounded back to the pitcher and Torrens advanced to third.
2B Luis Acuna followed with a RBI single and then stole second.
LF Jeff McNeil followed with a RBI triple.
In the top of the eighth, Soto led off with another homer for his second homer of the game.
In the top of the ninth, pinch-hitter Jose Azocar walked with one out and stole second and then CF Tyrone Taylor followed with a walk.
SS Franscisco Lindor came up next and broke the game open with a two-run double and advanced to third on fielder's indifference.
Soto followed with a sacrifice fly for his third RBI of the game.
RHP Kodai Senga did not his best stuff and struggled with his command walking five out of the first 10 hitters he faced. However, his defense bailed him out after Torrens threw out RF Corbin Carroll trying to steal second in the bottom of the first and Taylor and Lindor threw out CF Alex Thomas at home on a perfectly executed relay throw in the bottom of the second.
Senga walked the first two hitters he faced in the bottom of the third, but was helped out after a poor bunt attempt and double play.
He settled down after that with a 1-2-3 bottom of the fourth and fifth and had a scoreless bottom of the sixth and was taken out after the inning.
Senga's final line was six innings, two hits, 0 runs, five walks and four strikeouts.
He picked up his fourth win and lowered his ERA to 1.16.
RHP Max Kranick followed and had a scoreless bottom of the seventh and came back out for the bottom of the eighth and gave up a solo homer to Carroll and was then taken out.
RHP Huascar had to come in and picked up the last two outs in the bottom of the eighth.
RHP Ryne Stanek closed it out with a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth.
The Mets are off tomorrow and return back home on Friday, May 9 against the Chicago Cubs at 7:10 p.m.
