Mets To Activate Jose Reyes for Tonight's Game

Infielder Jose Reyes will join the New York Mets tonight and be activated today. Reyes hit .176 (6 for 34) for Double-A Binghamton with one double, three walks and 2 RBI's through 11 minor league games. He played exclusively at third base in the minor leagues. The Mets signed Reyes to a minor league deal on July 25th after he was released by the Colorado Rockies. The contract includes an option for the 2017 season. Manager Terry Collins said Reyes will be in the lineup for tonight's game and bat leadoff.
