Matt Harvey Put On DL With Sore Right Shoulder
Mets RHP Matt Harvey is being place on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder discomfort. He is going to see Dr. Robert Thompson in St. Louis tomorrow and is being checked for thoractic outlet syndrome, which is something that Dr. Thompson specializes in. Harvey has had an inconsistent season so far with a record of 4-11 and an ERA of 4.86 and a 1.468 WHIP. He gave up 6 runs in his last start against the Marlins. His next scheduled start was on Saturday against the Nationals. It is unknown who will replace Harvey in the rotation. It could be RHP Logan Verrett or possibly RHP Gabriel Ynoa in Triple-A Las Vegas. For the time being, RHP Seth Lugo has been recalled from Triple A to replace Harvey's spot on the roster.
