Bartolo Colon Added to NL All-Star Roster

The New York Mets announced that RHP Bartolo Colon has been added to the National League All-Star team. He is replacing Giants LHP Madison Bumgarter who is pitching on Sunday and unable to pitch in All-Star game. Colon will be with three other Met teammates at the All-Star game, CF Yoenis Cespedes, RHP Noah Syndergarrd, closer Jeurys Famila as well as manager Terry Collins. He has a record of 7-4 this year with a 3.28 and a 1.216 WHIP while walking just 1.6 batters per nine innings.  This is Colon's fourth all-star game appearance and his first since 2013 when he went 18-6 with a 2.65 ERA for the Oakland Athletics.
