Bryce Harper: Champ or Chump?

Bryce Harper has been the ESPN poster boy for the last 4 or 5 years. He has been hyped up more than you could imagine as the next great superstar. He was hitting homers out of professional stadiums at age 16.

After being taken with 1st pick in the draft in 2010 draft and with 2 major league seasons under his belt, the question is was he worth it? In his major league 270 games, he has hit .272 with 43 homers and 122 RBI's. Those are good numbers for a 21 year old, but not for this 21 year old. I could find plenty of other outfielders with better production with less baggage that comes along with him.

If you don't understand the reference to a recent incident, I will fill you in. In a game just last week, Bryce was pulled from the game for not hustling on a ground ball, which ironically was the same night that this program was distributed to fans. They must have meant hustle all of us as in rip us off pretending to be something he may not ever be.

I don't get this guy, he runs through a wall to catch a baseball last year, and now he won't run to first base. Maybe he isn't mentally tough enough to fight through his recent struggles this season which may show future problems when struggling. He was brought in to make this team champs, but so far all they have been is a bunch of chumps. He may have commercials, endorsements, and long flowing locks but can he get a ring is the real question?
That's A Clown Question Bro!
