After an 0-3 start, Mets eye .500 in Arizona

I remember it well. Maybe it's because it only occurred two weeks ago, or maybe because the outcry was so loud against the New York Mets, but I remember when the Mets were 0-3. Their bullpen was in shambles. Their lineup was hideous. Their starting pitching was....good. That's where we begin the 6-4 turn around since the opening day series. The Mets starting pitching has kept them in every single game this season. Without it, I don't even want to think of where the Mets would be. Probably 2-10 or 3-9. While many bats remain cold, and many bullpen arms remain sketchy, the Mets starting pitching has held its own. Facing the toughest April schedule in all of baseball, we were left for dead. Gutsy wins against the Reds, Braves, and Angels have opened a few eyes in Met land. Will this hold up? Will the bats eventually come around? Will the injuries stay away? Of course the Mets are going to hit bumps this season. The team really isn't that good. But, maybe they weren't really that bad when they started the season 0-3. All we know is tonight they can climb to .500 for the first time this season, and finish a tough road trip no worse than 5-4. Stay tuned....
