The New York Mets lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-4 tonight for their third consecutive loss and dropped their record to 54-70. LHP Tommy Millone got the start and had a rough outing allowing six runs (five earned) in 4 2/3 innings. He gave up one walk and had five strikeouts. RHP Kevin McGowan came in next for his Major League debut with two outs in the top of the fifth inning. McGowan got the last out in the fifth and came back out in the top of the sixth inning and allowed one run and had three strikeouts in 1 1/3 scoreless innings. RHP Hansel Robles followed with three scoreless innings in the top of the seventh, eighth and ninth innings.
SS Amed Rosario led the Mets with two RBI's. Rosario hit a solo homer in the bottom of the seventh inning and a RBI triple in the bottom of the ninth inning. 1B Dominic Smith hit a RBI double in the bottom of the ninth inning. RF Matt Reynolds hit a RBI ground-out in the ninth inning.
