After a scoreless bottom of the first, DH Daniel Vogelbach and RF DJ Stewart hit back-to-back homers in the bottom of the second.
Later in the inning, CF Brandon Nimmo hit a RBI double.
The Met bats did not do much for the next four innings until the bottom of the eighth when Stewart hit a two-run homer, his second homer of the night which tied the game.
In the bottom of the tenth, 1B Pete Alonso was intentionally walked and then catcher Francisco Alvarez also walked which loaded the bases.
Stewart came up next and was hit by a pitch which brought in the game-winning run.
RHP Denyl Reyes had a solid outing in a spot start allowing two runs on three hits in 5.1 innings.
RHP Sean Reid-Foley came in next and got the last two outs in the top of the sixth by striking out DH Mitch Garver and catcher Jonah Heim with the based loaded and one out to escape the scoring threat.
RHP Trevor Gott followed and threw a scoreless top of the seventh.
LHP Brooks Raley came on in the top of the eighth and had a difficult outing allowing three runs on two hits and was taken out with the based loaded after not recording an out.
RHP Adam Ottavino followed and gave up a RBI single to Heim but was able to keep the game tied.
RHP Jeff Brigham came on in the top of the ninth and was helped out by his defense after Stewart made an incredible catch at the wall to rob 2B Marcus Semian of a potential RBI double.
Brigham stayed in for the top of the tenth and threw another scoreless inning to pick up his first win of the season.
The Mets are off tomorrow and return back to action on Friday, September 1 at home against the Seattle Mariners at 7:10 p.m.

Mauricio has hit well this season with 23 homers and 24 steals in 115 games in Triple-A Syracuse.
He is a natural shortship but has not found a permanent home at another position, but has gotten more playing time at second base.
Mauricio has proven to have power and speed, and will hopefully provide a spark and energy to the team in the last month of the season.

LHP Jose Quintana had another strong outing throwing six scoreless innings.
Quintana gave up three hits and three walks with five strikeouts.
He had sharp command of his fastball and change-up.
Quintana lowered his ERA to 3.26.
RHP Drew Smith followed in the top of the seventh and gave up a solo homer to DH Mitch Garner leading off the the inning.
RHP Phil Bickford came in next and had a scoreless top of the eighth, but gave up a RBI single to 3B Ezequiel Duran in the top of the ninth.
RHP Sam Coonrod had to come to get the last two outs in the top of the ninth.
The Met offense did little all night outside of a solo homer by DH Mark Vientos with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.
They had seven hits and went 0-4 with runners in scoring position leaving six runners on base.
The Mets next game is tomorrow night, Wednesday, August 30 at home against the Rangers at 6:40 p.m.

RHP Tylor Megill had a strong outing allowing one run on five hits in six innings.
Megill gave up one walk with eight strikeouts.
RHP Sean Reid-Foley followed with a scoreless top of the seventh.
LHP Brooks Raley came in next in the top of the eighth and had a difficult outing allowing a double and walk with a passed ball and was then taken out.
RHP Sam Coonrod came on and walked the bases loaded and gave up a run on a RBI ground-out but was able to get out of the inning with the inning.
RHP Trevor Gott appeared in the top of the ninth and gave up back-to-back hits to start the inning and then after getting back-to-back strikeouts walked SS Corey Seager intentionally.
Gott then gave up a two-run go-ahead single to 1B Nathaniel Lowe with two outs.
