The Met offense was held scoreless for the first three innings and then came alive in the bottom of the fourth.
LF Juan Soto walked with one out and then and DH Jared Young followed with a single. 1B Mark Vientos then drove in Soto and Young with a two-run double. Two batters later, 2B Marcus Semian drove in Vientos with a RBI single.
In the bottom of the sixth, Young led off with a homer.
In the bottom of the seventh, catcher Hayden Senger hit a solo homer with one out and RF Carson Benge followed with a double. SS Bo Bichette then walked and Soto drove in Benge with a RBI single.
RHP Christian Scott had a solid outing allowing one run on five hits in five innings. He gave up two walks with eight strikeouts and 11 swings and misses. Scott picked up his first Major League win.
LHP Cionel Perez followed in the top of the sixth and threw a scoreless inning.
RHP Huascar Brazoban came in next in the top of the seventh and threw a scoreless inning striking out the side.
RHP Austin Warren threw a scoreless top of the eighth.
RHP Devin Williams closed it out with a scoreless top of the ninth.
The Mets next game is tomorrow afternoon, Sunday, May 31 at home against the Marlins at 1:40 p.m.
