J.D. Davis Goes On IL

Mets third baseman J.D. Davis (Credits to USA Today Sports) New York Mets 3B J.D. Davis has been placed on the I.L. (Injured List) with a hand contusion after he was hit by a pitch. Starting pitcher former prospect RHP Franklin Kilome was desiginated for assignment as a corresponding roster move. Kilome was acquired from the Phillies in 2018 for Astrubal Cabrera. Kilome had Tommy John Surgery after he pitched in the minor leagues for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in 2018. He came back to pitch four games for the Mets in 2020 and alllowed 14 runs in 11 1/3 innings.
