DH Mark Vientos will be called up as corresponding roster move.
Vientos had a .469 OPS for the Mets earlier this year in limited playing time. He had a .1000 OPS with 16 homers and 50 RBI in 60 games for Triple-A Syracuse.

The Met offense was held scoreless for the first two innings until the bottom of the third after 3B Brett Baty led off the inning with a solo homer after homering in the previous night's game.
In the bottom of the fourth, 1B Pete Alonso led off with a walk and then 2B Jeff McNeil followed with a hit by pitch.
Catcher Francisco Alvarez followed with a RBI single and then DH Daniel Vogelbach walked.
Baty followed by grounding into a fielder's choice which brought home a run and then 2B Luis Guillorme hit a sacrifice fly.
CF Brandon Nimmo followed with a RBI double.
RHP Justin Verlander had an outstanding outing allowing one run on three hits in eight innings and the only run coming on a solo homer by CF Luis Robert Jr in the top of the seventh.
Verlander had pinpoint command of his fastball, curveball and slider which helped him pick up quick outs.
He had one walk with seven strikeouts.
Verlander picked up his fourth win and lowered his ERA to 3.47.
RHP Adam Ottavino closed it out with 1-2-3 top of the ninth inning.
The Mets next game is tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, July 20 at home against the White Sox at 1:10 p.m.

The Met offense got off to a fast start in the bottom of the first after CF Brandon Nimmo led off with a walk and LF Tommy Pham followed with a RBI double and then advanced to third on a wild pitch.
SS Francisco Lindor then walked to load the bases and 1B Pete Alonso followed with a sacrifice fly.
Two batters later, catcher Francisco Alvarez continued his torrid start to his rookie season with a two-run homer and then 3B Brett Baty followed with a solo homer.
In the bottom of the second, Nimmo walked once again with one out and then two batters later, Lindor drove him in with a RBI double.
After a scoreless bottom of the third, DH D.J. Stewart led off the bottom of the fourth with a solo homer.
Two batters later, Pham reached on an infield single and stole second and then two batters later, Alonso walked.
2B Jeff McNeil followed with a RBI single.
In the bottom of the sixth, Pham led off with a walk and three batters later, McNeil singled.
Alvarez came up next and capped off his stellar night at the plate with a three-run homer his second homer of the night and 19th of the season.
RHP Carlos Carrasco had a scoreless top of the first, but gave up a solo homer to catcher Yasmani Grandal in the top of the second and a RBI double to SS Tim Anderson in the top of the third.
Carrasco had a scoreless top of the fourth, but ran out of gas in the top of the fifth after he gave up back-to-back singles to Andrew Benintendi and Anderson and was taken out in the middle of the inning.
Carrasco's final line was 4.2 innings, six hits, four runs, two walks and five strikeouts.
RHP Grant Hartwig had to come in to get the last out in the top of the fifth and then threw a scoreless top of the sixth.
Hartwig picked up his second win.
RHP Trevor Gott followed and gave up three runs in the top of the seventh and was taken out.
LHP Brooks Raley came in and recorded two huge outs to help maintain the lead and end the inning.
RHP Adam Ottavino threw a scoreless top of the eighth.
RHP David Robertson came on in the top of the ninth and gave up a lead-off walk to Grandal and later in the inning a two-out walk to pinch-hitter Elvis Andrus.
Robertson then gave up a RBI single to Benintendi, but was able to get Anderson to fly out to end the game and pick up his 13th save.
The Mets next game is tomorrow night, Wednesday, July 19 at home against the White Sox at 7:10 p.m.

The Met offense was held scoreless for the first four innings, but broke through in the bottom of the fifth.
RF Starling Marte led off the inning with a single and two batters later, LF Mark Canha was hit by a pitch.
Catcher Omar Navarez then walked to load the bases and then CF Brandon Nimmo hit a ground-out back to RHP Bobby Miller which brought home a run.
The offense did not do much after that until the bottom of the tenth after pinch-hitter Luis Guillorme hit a walk-off double to score 3B Brett Baty after he started out the inning at second base as the ghost runner.
RHP Max Scherzer had a stellar outing throwing seven scoreless innings allowing one hit and three walks with six strikeouts.
Scherzer had improved command of his slider and fastball which helped him work his way out of trouble.
He lowered his ERA to 3.99.
RHP Trevor Gott followed in the top of the eighth and had a difficult appearance allowing one run on two hits on a RBI single by 2B Mookie Betts and recorded only out in the inning and was then taken out.
LHP Brooks Raley had to come in and got the last two outs in the inning after 1B Freddie Freeman grounded out and 3B Max Muncy popped out to end the inning.
RHP David Robertson came in next and threw two scoreless innings in the top of the ninth and tenth and picked up fourth win.
The Mets are off tomorrow and return back to action on Tuesday, July 18 at home against the Chicago White Sox at 7:10 p.m.
