RHP Seth Lugo came in next and gave up two unearned runs due to errors by 1B Wilmer Flores and 2B Jose Reyes.

The offense was held scoreless by Nationals starter LHP Tommy Millone for the four innings until Jose Reyes hit a solo homer in the top of the fifth inning. Reyes hit another solo homer in the top of the eighth inning. Wilmer Flores added a solo homer in the top of the ninth inning.

The Mets next game is tomorrow night back home against the Atlanta Braves at 7:10 P.M.
