Mets vs. Marlins Game 114 Recap

RHP Corey Oswalt

The New York Mets lost to the Miami Marlins 4-3 tonight in 11 innings and dropped their record to 48-66. RHP Corey Oswalt had another solid outing allowing three runs on six hits in six innings. Oswalt gave up one walk with three strikeouts. He wound up with a no-decision. RHP Bobby Wahl came in next and threw a scoreless bottom of the seventh inning. RHP Paul Sewald followed and had a scoreless bottom of the eighth inning. RHP Tyler Bashlor threw two scoreless innings in the bottom of the ninth and tenth innings. RHP Jacob Rhyme came in the bottom of the eleventh inning and gave up an RBI walk-off double to pinch-hitter Bryan Holliday.

The offense wasn't able to do much all night and had six hits. 3B Todd Frazier drove in the only runs of the game with a three-run double in the top of the fourth inning.

The Mets next game is at 1:10 P.M. tomorrow afternoon against the Marlins in the final game of the series.
