Mets Call Up Chris Flexen

The New York Mets announced tonight that they called up RHP Chris Flexen from Double-A Binghamton and will start in place of RHP Zack Wheeler on Thursday night. Flexen has been dominating Double-A with a record of 6-1 and a 1.66 ERA with 50 strikeouts in 48.2 innings. He has a lot of life on his fastball and can throw up to 96 mph and also has a sharp curveball. Flexen is the first Met to be called up from Double-A since OF Michael Conforto in 2015.
