Major League Baseball announced earlier tonight that New York Mets OF Michael Conforto was named to the 2017 National All-Star team. This is Conforto's first All-Star game appearance.  He has hit .285 with 14 homers, 41 RBI's and 47 runs for the Mets this year. Conforto has had four lead-off homers which lead the NL and is tied for third-most in the majors. He is the second youngest Met outfielder to make an All-Star Team after Darryl Strawberry and 12th Mets outfielder named to an All-Star Team.
