Mets Recall Franklin Kilome

The New York Mets recalled RHP Franklin Kilome and placed catcher Rene Rivera on the injured list with a hyperextended left elbow.  Kilome came up with the Phillies organization and was traded to the Mets in 2018 in the Astrubal Cabrera trade. He made several starts in the minor leagues in 2018 before he was shut down with Tommy John surgery. Kilome missed most of 2018 and all of 2019 but is finally healthy. He features a fastball in the mid 90's and a sharp curveball. Hopefully Kilome can be a young power arm in the bullpen. It is unknown at this point how long Rivera will be out.
