New York Mets centerfielder Jake Marisnick was placed on injured list today with a left hamstring strain. Marisnick was signed in the offseason as a back-up centerfielder and has gone 1-4 so far this season. Outfielder Ryan Cordell was activated from the team's alternative training facility in Coney Island. Cordell signed a minor league deal with the Mets this offseason and hit .205 for the Chicago White Sox between the 2018 and 2019 seasons. RHP Jordan Humpreys was designated for assignment to make room for Cordell.
