Dan Warthen and Ray Ramirez Will Not Return Next Year

The New York Mets announced today that pitching coach Dan Warthen and head trainer Ray Ramirez will not be back next year. Warthen has been the pitching coach since 2008 and has offered another position in the organization. Ramirez was the head trainer since 2005 and has been in the organization since 1983. In other coaching moves, hitting coach Kevin Long, assistant heading coach Pat Roessler and third base coach Glen Sherlock will return next year. Bench coach Dick Scott will most likely not be coming back and has been granted permission to speak to teams that are looking for a new manager. First base coach Tom Goodwin is expected to not be back as well. The new manager hired will want to be able to choose his own coaching staff.
