The New York Mets lost to the Philadelphia Phillies 11-0 today in the final game of their season and finished up with a record of 70-92. RHP Noah Syndergarrd got the start and ended his year on a high note. Syndergarrd threw two scoreless innings with 26 pitches. He had two strikeouts and one walk. RHP Chris Flexen came in next and gave up six runs (five earned) in 1 1/3 innings. He had two walks and three strikeouts. RHP Kevin McGowan followed with 1 2/3 scoreless innings. RHP Rafael Montero gave up five runs in 2 2/3 innings.
The Mets offense struggled against Phillies starter RHP Nick Pavetta and had only two hits.
