Mets Trade Gabriel Ynoa to Orioles

The New York Mets have traded RHP Gabriel Ynoa to the Baltimore Orioles for cash considerations. This helps to free up a spot on the 40 man roster for RHP Fernando Salas, who was recently resigned. Ynao made his Major League debut with the Mets last year and appeared in 10 games, which include 3 starts. He posted a 6.18 ERA and 1.80 WHIP in 18.1 innings. In Ynoa's minor league career, he had a record of 59-30 with a 3.36 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 3.72 K/BB ratio over 795.1 innings. With Ynoa being traded, this limits the amount of starters that the Mets have in Triple-A Las Vegas. In the event that one or more of the Mets 5 starters get hurt this year, they will have to rely on Robert Gsellman and Seth Lugo.
