In last night's MLB draft, the Mets picked 21 outfielder Michael Conforto with the number 10 pick.
The Mets decided to draft for offense once again, considering how pitching rich their farm system seems to be. "He's got some credibility," said one American League scout. The scout went on saying essentially he can see Conforto as a middle-of-the-order type power bat.
ESPN's Chris Crawford agreed with the American League scout, saying "Conforto may be the best pure hitter in the class; a left handed hitting outfielder with plus power and an outstanding approach at the plate.
MLB also ranked Conforto as the best hitter in this year's draft.
