The New York Mets signed LHP Jose Quintana to a two-year, $26 million deal today.

Quintana is coming off an excellent season with a 2.93 ERA in 32 starts with the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals.

He started his career with the Chicago White Sox where he had a 3.53 ERA from 2012-2017.

Quintana helps fill a key void to the starting rotation that has added RHP Justin Verlander.

Now that Quintana and Verlander have signed, the Mets are trying to add another starting pitcher to the rotation such as Kodai Senga.
