New York Mets RHP Carlos Carrasco will be out at least 6-8 weeks with a Grade 1 right hamstring tear. Carrasco tore his hamstring during his conditioning follwing a live batting practice on Thursday. Now that he is out, the Mets will have to rely on starters LHP Joey Lucchesi and RHP Jordan Yamamoto to help fill out the rotation and create some depth after RHP Jacob deGrom and RHP Marcus Stroman until Carrasco is ready to return.
