New York Mets 2B Robinson Cano has been suspended for the entire 2021 season due to testing posiitve for performance enchancing drug Stanozolol. Cano was previously suspended in 2018 while on the Seattle Mariners for also testing posiitve for PEDs. He loses $24 million this year that he was owed by the Mets for the upcoming season. Neither the Mets or Mariners will have to Cano this year. Now with Cano gone for the season, it allows Jeff McNeil to go back to his natural position at second base or bring in somewhere else. It gives more depth and options on the field and helps give stronger defense and more athleticism up the middle.
