Dom Smith Activated and Jeff McNeil placed on 60-day IL

The New York Mets announced today that infielder Jeff McNeil has been placed on the 60-day IL and 1B Dom Smith has been activated off the IL. McNeil was hit by a pitch on the wrist in last night's game and X-rays revealed that he had a right distal ulnar fracture. His recovery time will be six weeks and is expected to ready for Opening Day in 2020.
