Mets Acquire Keon Broxton

Outfielder Keon Broxton

The New York Mets have acquired outfielder Keon Broxon from the Milwaukee Brewers for reliever Bobby Wahl and prospects right-handed pitcher Adam Hill and infielder Felix Valerio.  Broxton is known for his defense, but has also shown he can hit for power with 20 homers in 2017. Last year, he had a down year hitting .179, but also stole over 20 bases in 2016 and 2017. Broxton will most likely be in center field as a fourth-fifth outfielder and will get starts against lefty pitching. Now the question is whether CF Juan Lagares is traded to free up some salary or is paired together with Broxton in the outfield.
